Auto Focus

A key advantage in the line of Hirox digital microscopy is the ability to easily and quickly auto focus an image. Auto focusing an image at a rapid rate is due to our 0.05 micron pulse motorized z axis. All one has to do is double click the desired location on the monitor and the high speed software does the rest by automatically selecting the optimal focus point.

Full High Definition LCD Monitor

21.5” Full HD LCD monitor (1920 x 1080) is integrated into the KH-8700. It is one of the top grade high intensity pixel reproduction monitors displaying 16.77 million colors, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and brightness of 300 cd/m2. Monitor size has increased 80%, with a new aspect ratio of 9:16 instead of 3:4. The new aspect ratio allows our new software platform main menu and other function keys not to overlap with live images.

High Intensity LED Light Source

The new high intensity LED light source provides 5700K temperature, which closely portrays daylight color temperature (5500K) to re-produce true sample color images as well as full illumination immediately with no warm up time. The light source has an average lifetime of 30,000 hours, equivalent to over 10 years of usage (Note: 8 hours/day x 30 days x 12 months x 10 years). In addition, the new light source is environment friendly with 1/4 electronic consumption, less heat and UV.

High Dynamic Range

High Dynamic Range, an essential observation technology based on a Hirox original algorithm, reproduces a dynamic shutter range as a visual image. This function provides results through blending both the low and high boundaries of an image to give a clear and balanced result.

24 Frame / Second with High Resolution Camera

The new high-speed “Genex” Graphics Processor allows Hirox’s CCD camera to capture 24 fps with the continuous high-quality resolution of 1200 x 1600 pixels. This provides a great on-screen performance and live image operation is as smooth as the naked eye. Here, it is not necessary to change to a lower resolution setup, all of the functions work with 1200 x 1600 pixel resolutions (UXGA).

Measurement

ACS

The Auto Calibration Select (ACS) sensor automatically applies the proper lens settings with each magnification or lens change, completely eliminating the need to choose proper calibration values. When a lens / mag is changed, the ACS feature also adjusts the z-axis speed / steps coinciding with the preferred lens’ camera setup.

Capture and Record

Real Time 2D & 3D Tiling

It is a constant challenge for optical microscopes to capture with a high optical resolution and a wide field of view simultaneously. This new process does not require a specified position to match tile to tile. The image will automatically begin tiling seamlessly in real-time just by moving the XY stage to increase the Field of View up to 110 times. An optional Auto XY stage is also available for Auto 2D and 3D tiling functions.

Image Library

Cover all storage access through the Explorer tab. Organize files by selecting the detail setup. Be able to edit, connect to a network, burn files to a CD/DVD, and print any file directly from the Library.

pagetop

Time Lapse / Movie Record

The KH-8700 can automatically take a sequence of frames at a specified interval to record changes over a set duration. To help reduce energy consumption, the LED lamp is only turned on when necessary.

Metal Structure
Roughness Measurement( Ra, Rz, Rzjis )
Protein Structure
Roughness Measurement( Ra, Rz, Rzjis )

The "user mode" allows you easily select the desired picture style. 12 settings are provided for specific applications. This answers the need for more detailed expression, such as clear reproduction of sample color, greater image depth, and image repeatability. Compensation settings for changes in image brightness, contrast settings containing color information, and enhancement settings ranging from basic to advance. User mode settings based on video technology, unique to a digital microscope manufacturer allows for more versatility in sample observation.

Light Source

Select the Light Source that best meets your Specific Requirements.

Metal-Halide Lamp  ( KH-1300M )
Color reproduction can be extremely important in thoroughly capturing the details of a given sample. Our metal-halide lamp has a very high color temperature which allows accurate details and color to be easily captured and observed. On top of that, the service life of our metal-halide lamp lasts six times longer than conventional lamps. These two features make our metal-halide lamp the optimum light source for state-of-the-art digital microscopes.
Halogen Lamp  ( KH-1300H )
With our Halogen Lamp, you will never see a decrease in light intensity or color temperature. This is because evaporated tungsten does not stick to the tube wall and cause the glass bulb to darken which means the bulb will always be functioning at peak performance. This light source has an impressive life span and service record and is adaptable to a variety of environments including production sites and manufacturing plants. It’s low cost and long life-span make it one of our best light sources.

Overview / Concept

The Pioneer of 3D Digital Microscopes
Hirox is more than just a Digital Microscope company, we make the impossible possible. Our Digital Microscope system is a combined tool that is able to do Observation, Measurement, Recording, and see things “as they are.” Since we started our business almost 30 years ago as pioneer of digital microscope, our main purpose hasn’t changed. “Make it possible to observe anything that our users are looking for.” From grayscale to color images, we keep building the best environment and equipment for our users.
Never Stops Improving
The environment of observation is always changing and advancing. Hirox is seeking and improving our technology at the same speed. Digital Microscopes used to be a tool for specialists, but our technology made it easy to use even if you don’t have skill or knowledge about Digital Microscopes. You can capture images, save, and create reports on one Digital Microscope system at your desired level. The improvement on Digital Microscope technology also helps develop other systems and methods to do research such as quality control and product improvement. Digital Microscope systems expand opportunities and open up many more unknown studies.
Easy, Safe, and Stress-free Work Environment
Hirox is always seeking to improve our Digital Microscope system to meet and exceed our user’s expectations. An easy, safe, and stress-free work environment is very obvious and basic, but that is fundamental to create a productive work place. From surface measurement to 3D measurement, creating a procedure for an entire process is effortless with no intense training. At the same time, letting the system do all the measurements could reduce the number of human-errors, and save a lot of time. This whole process constructs an easy, safe and stress-free environment for our Digital Microscope users.
Total Solution for Quality Management in a New Era
(Delivering a total solution for production technology, design technology, quality management, cause analysis, failure analysis, research improvement, and much more.) The demand for nondestructive testing is increasing in the current research scene. To make better products, and to be more efficient with the process, you need to have a very high skill inspection system and structure that can keep up with that development and change. Hirox understands that, to date, multi-tasking at a timely and efficient manner is required in any kind of industry. Hirox systems let you do observation and inspection by anyone, anywhere, and at any time without any complications.
